Jio Frames AI Smart Glasses Announced at Reliance 48th Annual General Meeting

At its 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 29, 2025, Reliance Jio announced a bunch of new AI-backed products and services across its platform coming soon to India. One such product is Jio Frames, an AI-powered smart glass curated for India.

Jio Frames Specifications and Features

Jio claims that the AI-powered smart glass will enable users to "take calls, capture photos and enjoy music - all hands-free". This will be made possible by the brand's in-house AI solution, Jio Voice AI. This means that the AI assistant can be summoned via voice.

The most important aspect of the AI is its multilingual capability. Jio AI can understand several regional languages like Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati and more, along with support for English. Paired with this, Jio Frames will be able to support real-time voice translation. 

Apart from this, the smart glasses will be able to record and capture video footage in 1080p, that is, in full HD resolution. Users will be able to capture photos as well and livestream footage directly via Jio Frames.

The brand claims that every footage recorded via Jio Frames will get automatically backed up in Jio's AI Cloud storage solution. Although the brand has not mentioned the number of cameras used and their respective resolution, we could detect a dual forward-facing camera module located at each of the frame's hinge.

Additionally, users will be able to take hands-free calls thanks to the on-board microphones and listen to audio feeds like music and podcast via the in-built speaker module on the glasses' temples.

Lastly, apart from language translation and quick actions, Jio AI will also be able to perform different complex tasks like summarising books, health and fitness tracking, real-time voice and text interpretation and smart nudges for meetings, reminders and more.

Jio Frames Price in India and Availability

The company has not disclosed the pricing and availability details of Jio Frames. The product page of Jio Frames is now live with an intent submission form that interested buyers can fill out to stay in the loop.

If priced well, we believe this could take on the likes of Ray-Ban Meta Glasses and the Oakley Meta AI Glasses. Given how Jio prices its products for the country, one can expect it to be priced anywhere between Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.
