After launching the Lava Bold N2 5G last month, the brand is gearing up to introduce another smartphone in India called the Lava Virat. The brand has set up a dedicated microsite on Flipkart to tease the phone, though it's keeping most details close to its chest for now.

The Flipkart microsite also only subtly teases the front profile of the Lava Virat and reveals that the smartphone is "coming soon" to India. Apart from that, Lava describes the Virat as being engineered for "the heart of India," built to be dependable and durable enough for everyday use.
That framing suggests that the phone is likely meant for buyers looking for a rugged, no-nonsense option rather than a spec-heavy flagship.
Beyond the branding and teaser, Lava hasn't shared anything concrete about the processor, display, battery or price. Those details are expected to trickle out in the coming days as the company continues to tease the phone.
The Lava Virat appears to be an addition to Lava's expanding smartphone portfolio, which already spans the Agni, Storm, Blaze and Yuva series. It comes just a month after the Lava Bold N2 5G launched in India as a budget 5G smartphone from the brand.
Now, whether the upcoming Lava phone slots in as another budget 5G option or takes a slightly different direction remains to be seen.
