Apple's software builds have a long history of revealing tidbits about unreleased and upcoming Apple products. The codebase for the latest macOS Tahoe 26.7 release candidate update has a long list of codenames for upcoming iPhones, AirPods, Macs, Home products, and some unidentifiable products.
Upcoming iPhones, iPads, and Macs Spotted in macOS Tahoe 26.7 Code
The entire repository of codenames and their associated products was first spotted by MacRumors inside the macOS Tahoe 26.7 codebase. The first of the many includes upcoming iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
The iPhone references largely confirm what iOS 27 code had already revealed earlier. V63 and V64 correspond to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. V68 is reportedly the foldable iPhone Ultra. V62 and V67 are potentially the iPhone Air 2 and the standard iPhone 18, respectively.
While the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra are expected to launch in September 2026, the iPhone Air 2 and iPhone 18 could arrive in Q1 2027.

For iPads, J510 and J511 represent the next-generation iPad mini, rumoured to bring an OLED display and the A19 Pro chip.
On the Mac side, J804 is supposed to be the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro due for an M6 refresh before the end of 2026. The current M5 MacBook Pro model is J704. J833 and J834 point to new iMac models. Four additional codenames, K114c, K114s, K116c and K116s, refer to further MacBook Pro models, one of them possibly being the higher-end OLED version.

AirPods with Cameras to Arrive as Early as September
Moving on, the headphone references contain the single most surprising detail in the build. The macOS Tahoe 26.7 code mentions B790, the codename for AirPods with a camera, including a specific string about an image stream failing for the left bud.

However, this is not the same as the camera-equipped AirPods rumoured for 2027, which carry the B798 codename. B790 is described as a separate camera AirPods project entirely, and it could launch as early as September 2026.
Aside from that, the code also references AirPodsPro1,4, which would be the fourth-generation AirPods Pro, as the current AirPods Pro 3 are AirPodsPro1,3. Two Beats codenames, B518 and B522, also appear inside the codebase.

Apple Has Multiple Home Products Planned
Now, aside from the iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple wearables, the most substantial cluster of product references is in Apple's smart home category.
The macOS Tahoe 26.7 code shows a reference to Siri setup instructions for a home accessory codenamed J490, previously identified as Apple's upcoming Home Hub. A second codename, J491, appears beside it, with J490 believed to be the version with a base and J491 the wall-mounted variant.
There is also a reference to B525, which likely corresponds to a new HomePod mini. The current version carries the B520 codename, and the code mentions a chip called "Argentium" installed on this new model.
A third home device, codenamed J229, has surfaced with an "architecture" reference. This one has also previously appeared in iOS 26 code, where it was described as a device with multiple sensors capable of detecting alarm sounds and capturing images. That description fits the security camera Apple is rumoured to be developing.
Rounding out the home references is "Pebble", reportedly Apple's internal codename for homeOS, the operating system that will run on the Home Hub. Two further unidentified devices appear as HomeAccessory17,2 and HomeAccessory17,3, alongside colour references for a home product in Rose Pink, Silver, Space Gray and Starlight.
There is also a reference to N109, a headset codename that has been linked to both a second-gen Vision Pro and a cheaper Vision Pro model generation. The ATVRemote1,5 codename suggests a new Apple TV remote.
