Motorola has announced the direct successor to its last year's popular Edge 2025 smartphone in the North American market. The Motorola Edge 2026 is here and it continues to focus on being an upper mid-range smartphone that offers great endurance in a compact form factor, without burning a hole in buyers' pockets.

Motorola Edge 2026 Specifications and Features

Starting off with the design, the phone features the signature Motorola aesthetic with a textured, twill-finished back made of plastic. Then there's the raised camera module that houses three cameras and a flat punch-hole display at the front with minimal bezels.

Talking about the display, the Motorola Edge 2026 features a 6.3-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED panel with a whopping 5,200 nits of peak brightness for great outdoor legibility. It is flanked by dual-stereo speakers that are backed by Dolby Atmos for a better Media Consumption experience.

The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and the phone boasts an IP68/69 rating. It also comes with MIL-STD-810H certification to withstand extreme drops. The phone measures 7.2mm in thickness and weighs just 160 grams.

Powering the Motorola Edge 2026 is a Dimensity 7450 processor. For those unaware, it shares the same core architecture as the Dimensity 7400 with 4x Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. The main difference is that it features a better modem than the 7400, and a 6th-generation NPU, offering better AI capabilities.

Complementing the performance is up to 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 GB of storage. Software-wise, the phone ships with Android 16 features, and Motorola is heavily marketing its customisable AI assistant suite, which allows users to choose among the native Moto AI, Google Gemini, or Perplexity models.

Coming to the cameras, the Motorola Edge 2026 features triple rear cameras, including a 50 MP Sony LYTIA-710 primary sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide camera with 122-degree FoV and a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The front houses a 50 MP snapper for selfies.

Fueling the internals is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 60W fast charging. The Edge 2026 also features 15W wireless charging. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone comes with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, USB 2.0 Type-C, NFC and dual-SIM card support with one physical and one eSIM.

Motorola Edge 2026 Pricing and Availability

The Motorola Edge 2026 arrives in just one colourway, i.e., Pantone Martini Olive, and one storage variant – 8 GB + 128 GB. The price of the smartphone starts from $599 (approximately Rs 57,000). The Edge 2026 is scheduled to hit retail shelves on June 11, 2026, in the US, and unlocked models can be bought from the official Motorola Storefront or Best Buy.

That said, the Motorola Edge 2026 is expected to hit the global shores as the Motorola Edge 70 Neo, as the series has housed some of Motorola's compact smartphones.

Considering the phone has already launched in the US, an official announcement about the global unveiling should be underway. Meanwhile, the Edge 70 Pro+ could soon launch in India as Motorola has recently teased the same.
