It has been less than 24 hours since the Nothing OS 4.1 update for Phone (3) dropped and the brand has now extended the update to a bunch of phones. This includes the Nothing Phone (3a) series, Phone (2a) lineup, Phone (2), CMF Phone (1) and CMF Phone (2) Pro.
Nothing OS 4.1 Update Changelog: What's New?
The all-new Nothing OS 4.1 is now rolling out to the following phones: Nothing Phone (3a), Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, Nothing Phone (2a), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, Nothing Phone (2), CMF Phone (2) Pro and CMF Phone (1).
With the Nothing OS 4.1 update, except for the Nothing Phone (2) and the CMF Phone (1), all others have received the brand new Essential Voice feature. It brings an AI-powered voice-to-text tool for a natural voice to text intelligent context-aware transcription.
It can also remove filler words, repetitions and stammers, ensuring a polished and professional text output. Essential Voice works with above 100 languages, including regional languages like Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and more.
The next big feature is the inclusion of the Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition lock screen clock face designed by community member @jadzok. It is now available to all the Nothing and CMF-branded phones, including older devices like the Phone (2) and CMF Phone (1).
Moreover, with Nothing OS 4.1, Android 16's Live update integration has been expanded with support for both Glyph Matrix and the OG Glyph Interface. It can now show real-time tracking data from apps like Google Maps, food delivery apps and more. It works both on the lock screen and the notification panel, aside from the Glyphs.
Lastly, with the Nothing OS 4.1 update, all seven phones have been upgraded to the April 2026 security patch. Rest, minor bug fixes and stability improvements have also been shipped with the new update.
That said, interested users can check for the update on their Nothing and CMF phones by heading over to Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Check for update. Nothing has also confirmed that the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite will receive the new update in May 2026.
