The latest Nothing OS 4.1 update packs a surprise for Nothing Phone (3) users in the form of a new Al Eraser tool inside the native Gallery app.
Nothing Phone (3) Users Can Now Access AI Eraser Right from Gallery App
Nothing is rolling out the Nothing OS 4.1 update to the Nothing Phone (3), and it carries the version B4.1-260814-1733. The update brings several enhancements to the brand's flagship phone with one significant addition – a new AI Eraser feature.

The update changelog mentions that AI Eraser will be accessible inside the Gallery app, and it will allow users to "instantly remove unwanted objects, pedestrians, or reflections with one tap". This means Phone (3) users will now be able to use a built-in image eraser that works entirely on-device and without internet access.
To access AI Eraser, users will need to launch the Nothing Gallery app, open an image, tap on the pencil icon and select the Eraser option at the bottom. The app will then show a prompt to download necessary AI models to perform the action. Once downloaded, the tool will scan for objects, and users will then be able to choose a preferred option to remove unwanted elements from the image.
The AI Eraser tool first debuted on the Nothing Phone (4a) series, which shipped with the Nothing OS 4.1 update out of the box. It's a welcome addition for Phone (3) users who have been anticipating its arrival since the feature launched back in March 2026.
Besides AI Eraser, the update also enables Essential Key customisation, letting users choose whether to trigger translation or transcription as preferred. It also bumps the device to the August 2026 security patch.
Earlier this week, the brand also recently opened Nothing OS 5.0 beta testing for Nothing Phone (3) users, following it up with a cryptic Nothing OS 5.0 teaser. We should know more details about the upcoming update in the coming weeks. So, stay tuned.
