The much-awaited Nothing Phone (4a) is now official in India with the new Glyph Bar tech, which brings seven individually powered LEDs. It's refreshing to see the regular Phone (4a) feature the brand's unique transparent design language, unlike the Phone (4a) Pro which has launched with a metal design complemented by Glyph Matrix tech. On paper, the Phone (4a) is a toned-down version of the Phone (4a) Pro, with a price gap of Rs 8,000.
Nothing Phone (4a) Specifications and Features
Right off the bat, the Nothing Phone (4a) instantly stands out amongst the sea of mid-range phones with its looks. Inspired by an owl, Nothing says that the Phone (4a)'s cameras act as eyes, while the internal components transform into the owl's body. The overall vibe gives off a brutalist and industrial design language and the back is still transparent.
The back design separates the phone into two clear halves - the bottom section, where the placement of the battery is indicated along with silver accented plastic plates, and the top half, where the triple cameras and the all-new Glyph Bar rest. It is made up of seven LED square cutouts, with one in Red to indicate the recording light.

Each Glyph square contains 9 mini LED embeds, which can be controlled individually. The Glyph Bar is also confirmed to be 40% brighter than the Glyph Lights on the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. All in all, the Phone (4a) brings refinements to the Phone (3a)'s look, keeping the transparency and brutalist design cues intact.
Aside from that, the Phone (4a) also brings several spec bumps. It features the newer Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, a slightly bigger display now with 1.5K resolution, a bigger battery and the latest NothingOS update. Here is a complete breakdown of everything new with Nothing Phone (4a) in India:
