After rolling out the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update to the Galaxy S25 series last month, Samsung has now started rolling out One UI 8.5 Beta 3 to the flagships. While this update is labelled as One UI 8.5 Beta 4 globally, it arrives as Beta 3 in India, following Samsung's staggered regional rollout strategy.
The One UI 8.5 Beta 3 update focuses on improving system stability while introducing a notable new calling feature. This is also the last beta update before One UI 8.5 stable comes out.
What's New in One UI 8.5 Beta 3
The biggest addition in the latest One UI 8.5 beta is Direct Voicemail. The feature allows users to view voicemail messages as live text while the caller is still leaving the message. Users can choose to answer the call mid-voicemail or ignore it altogether, making call handling more flexible and efficient.

Alongside the new feature, Samsung has fixed several bugs across the system. Issues related to lock screen clock alignment have been resolved and problems with call history search taps not working properly in the Phone app have also been fixed. Bluetooth call reliability has been improved as well, preventing calls from unexpectedly switching from connected headsets to the phone.
Samsung has also addressed smaller but noticeable issues, such as problems pasting phone numbers from call links into the dialer and inconsistent behaviour of the AI Select UI, which now closes correctly after copying content.
How to Download the One UI 8.5 Beta 3 Update
Those using the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra and are enrolled in the One UI Beta program can download the update by heading over to Settings -> Software update -> Download and install. New users can enrol via the Samsung Members app if slots are still available.
With each beta update, One UI 8.5 is moving closer to the refined stable update and with the latest update, it's almost there. While Samsung hasn't confirmed a release timeline for the stable version yet, with One UI 8.5 Beta 3/Beta 4 out now, the final version may not be too far off.
