While Samsung is still in the process of upgrading its Galaxy smartphones to One UI 8, it looks like the brand is already keeping the One UI 8.5 release in the pipeline. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, a new report gives us a sense of when the next One UI update will ship.
Samsung eyes November 2025 for One UI 8.5 Beta
According to SamMobile, One UI 8.5 beta sign up will reportedly start from as early as November 2025. The publication claims that by the last week of the month, Samsung will treat eligible One UI 8-supported devices with the beta registration link for the same. So, expect to see the Samsung Members app announce the next update after November 24, 2025.

That said, expect to see the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE to become the first in line for One UI 8.5. Moreover, we expect the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge and the Galaxy S26 Ultra to ship with a stable One UI 8.5 build first.
One UI 8.5 is said to be heavily inspired from iOS 26
Now, as for what the next One UI update will bring, a previous One UI 8.5 design leak revealed Apple's Liquid Glass "inspiration" throughout the user interface. For instance, the back button from the top bar appears to have been redesigned to mimic drop shadows, creating a layered effect.

The Settings menu has also been shown to have been redesigned with compact categories and gradient and shadow effects.
Apart from this, a new auto blur sensitive content in One UI 8.5 feature was also earlier spotted. It was revealed to use the Privacy Protection feature in share sheet to help users eliminate sensitive contents like metadata, location and more before sharing a photo. So, expect this feature to also go live with One UI 8.5 beta.
