Samsung has released One UI 8 based on Android 16, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Z Flip FE are the first phones to run the latest update. The newest iteration of One UI brings many improvements over One UI 7, including both UI changes and new features that should make the overall user experience much better. One UI 8 Supported Samsung Phones and Devices
Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will get the One UI 8 update in the third week of September 2025. The Galaxy S23 series and Z Fold 5/Flip5 will follow in the fourth week of September 2025. The One UI 8 release timeline has already leaked, suggesting most of the flagship and mid-range Samsung devices should get the update by the end of November 2025.
Right now, you can try out the beta on the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, including Samsung’s mid-range devices like the Galaxy A36, A55, A35 and A54. Users with eligible devices can install One UI 8 Beta using the Samsung Members app.
For devices that have not been confirmed to receive One UI 8 yet, we can determine their eligibility based on their year of launch. This list was created based on the same criteria and therefore, should be mostly accurate.
Samsung Galaxy S Series

The Galaxy S25 series could receive One UI 8 stable and its features on September 18, 2025, followed by the Galaxy S24 series on September 25, 2025. One UI 8 will be the last update for the Galaxy S22 series. The devices launched back in 2022 but fall under Samsung's old update policy of four years of major Android updates, just like the S23 series. The seven-year update policy was introduced with the S24 series.
Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip

Like Samsung's slab phones, its recent foldable devices are also promised seven years of Android updates. One UI 8 beta is already available for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The Galaxy Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 series could get the update on October 13 and October 16, 2025, respectively.
