After months of waiting and a host of beta updates, Samsung finally started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for its smartphones. And now the update has started to trickle down to the brand's tablets, starting with its flagship Galaxy Tab S11 series, bringing new features, bug fixes and an improved user experience.
One UI 8.5 Stable Update Is Seeding to Galaxy Tab S11
Samsung is finally rolling out One UI 8.5 stable for the Galaxy Tab S11 series, including the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra in South Korea. The finalised software arrives carrying firmware version X736NKOU5BZE3 and X936NKOU5BZE3, bringing all the new One UI 8.5 features to the flagship tablets.

Those residing outside of South Korea will not have to wait too long, as Samsung typically expands these stable updates to global markets within a few days. To recall, One UI 8.5 is not a minor patch and delivers massive improvements to the user interface, bringing a more tightly knit, cohesive experience.
As for the new features, the update expands Galaxy AI features, adding Photo Assist that lets you generate AI images while keeping track of the edit history. The release also adds other features, such as Meeting Assist, Touch Assist, Social Composer, and Smart Clipboard.
One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy Tab S11 series also brings a more customisable Quick Settings experience with support for vertical and horizontal layouts for sliders and other tiles. When it comes to privacy, the release adds Privacy Protection, which automatically blurs certain parts of a document when sharing.
Speaking of which, the update also expands Lock Screen customisations and adds new clock styles, 3D effects and more. Besides, there are improvements to the system apps, including Phone and Weather.
With the update rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S11 series, it should also roll out to other One UI 8.5-supported phones and tablets like the Tab S10 series, S9 series, and S8 series, as well as mid-range contenders like the Tab A9 and Tab S6 Lite. Until then, stay tuned.
