Samsung is finally expanding the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 globally, with India confirmed as one of the first new countries to receive it.

Samsung first released the stable, Android 17-based One UI 9.0 update for its 2025 foldables last month, starting in its home market of South Korea before extending to the US.

The company has now begun pushing the update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 into additional regions, with India among the earliest to get it. For now, availability is limited to devices enrolled in Samsung's beta program, rather than a full public release.

For the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the update is a relatively compact download for beta participants, coming in at 540.83 MB and carrying firmware version F966BXXUCCZIH.

The South Korean tech giant is expected to roll out the update to non-beta users and more countries soon. You can check if it’s available for you by heading over to Settings -> Software update -> Check for updates.

One UI 9.0 brings a meaningful set of upgrades over One UI 8.5. The update adds more customisation options for the Quick Panel, along with improvements to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes.

Samsung has also included a new location privacy indicator and a broader set of accessibility enhancements. One UI 9.0 features also include interesting Galaxy AI tools like My FanCam, which automatically crops and reframes an entire video clip around a subject, keeping them centred no matter how much they move.

Samsung hasn't detailed a precise timeline for when the update will reach markets beyond South Korea, the US, and India. Neither do we know when it will move past the beta program into a full stable release for all users.

Broader availability is expected to follow in the coming weeks as the rollout continues. Stay tuned for all the updates!
