A few days ago, when announcing the June Android feature drop, Google talked about the expansion of AirDrop support in Quick Share to more Android phones. One of the new devices added to the list was the OnePlus 15, and it looks like the phone is finally receiving a new update, allowing file transfers between the Apple ecosystem.
OnePlus 15's Quick Share Capabilities are Expanding
The feature was first spotted by a OnePlus Community member and a OnePlus 15 owner, dnagpaldg. They recently posted an image containing a window of the Quick Share app showing a "Share instantly with iPhone" prompt, which lets users know that they can now share files with iPhones.

This feature comes right after Google's June Android feature drop announcement, which included the OnePlus 15 as an upcoming supported smartphone. However, we did not expect it to arrive this soon. While rollout has not yet gained massive traction, it's super deliberate as it coincides with Apple's WWDC 26 event.
Currently, the OnePlus 15 is the only OnePlus phone that supports AirDrop transfers via Quick Share. The list that Google shared last week doesn't include any other phone from the brand. However, the feature should gradually roll out to more OnePlus phones like the 15R and the OnePlus 13 series in the coming months.
Just like how AirDrop works on a Pixel 10, users who want to initiate transfers will have to ask Apple device users to select the "everyone for 10 minutes" option. Once done, the Apple iPhone should show up on the list through which users can seamlessly transfer files.
That said, a host of other smartphones like the Oppo Find X9 series, Find N6 and Vivo X300 series are all expected to get the same capabilities very soon. The recently-launched Xiaomi 17T Pro also got AirDrop support via Quick Share. Stay tuned!
