Google has officially announced that it's expanding Quick Share's new AirDrop compatibility across a larger section of Android smartphones. Originally introduced with the Pixel 10 series back in November 2025, the feature is now rolling out across most major OEM smartphones, allowing them to interface and transfer files between Apple devices.
New June Android Drop Extends Quick Share AirDrop Support
Google is now rolling out its June Android drop, bringing a host of new features to nearly all Android smartphones. One of the features is that file transfers with Quick Share between Android and Apple devices will now work on more Android smartphones. This comes just a day after Xiaomi announced AirDrop support for Xiaomi 17T Pro.

In its announcement post, Google has shared a new list of smartphones that will support the feature. Here are all of them:
- Galaxy S26 series
- Galaxy S25 series (new)
- Galaxy S24 series (new)
- Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 (new)
- Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6 (new)
- Galaxy Z TriFold (new)
- Pixel 10 series
- Pixel 9 series
- Pixel 8a
- Honor Magic V6 (new)
- OnePlus 15 (new)
- Oppo Find X9 series
- Oppo Find N6
- Xiaomi 17T Pro (new)
- Vivo X300 series
The newer additions include the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and more. Besides, the feature is also rolling out to other smartphone makers such as Honor's Magic V6, OnePlus 15, Xiaomi 17T Pro and a handful of Oppo smartphones.
Apart from the phones mentioned above, Google has also confirmed that it plans on enabling AirDrop support on more Android phones soon, including the Razr Fold 2026, Oppo Find X8 series and the Honor Magic 8 Pro in the coming months.
That said, as we explained in our how to AirDrop files from Android to Apple guide, the feature still requires Apple users to turn on the "Everyone for 10 minutes" permission to appear on the Android phone they're trying to transfer files to. Otherwise, the overall file transfer process is a breeze.
However, Android phones that don't natively support this feature can still move files from iOS to Android using a cloud-based alternative. The Android phones can now generate a local QR code, which Apple users can scan to download the transferred media files from the cloud.
