After revealing the OnePlus 16 camera details last week, OnePlus has now revealed the exact launch date of the flagship in China and some of its other key specifications.
OnePlus 16 Launch Date in China Announced
The official OnePlus Weibo account has confirmed that OnePlus 16 will launch in China on October 12, 2026, at 17:00 CST (or 4:30 PM IST). The smartphone is already up for pre-order via the Oppo e-store and will enter open sales on October 13, 2026.
Alongside the launch date, OnePlus has also revealed several gaming features of the OnePlus 16. The smartphone will feature a 185 Hz display, capable of running supported games at a native 185 FPS.
This tops the 165 FPS gaming support of the OnePlus 15. Here are the games that OnePlus said will support 185 FPS gaming on the OnePlus 16:

To facilitate 185 FPS native gaming OnePlus 16 gets a new Fengchi Gaming Kernel, which manages the phone's hardware resources, including the CPU, GPU, and memory, so games get what they need without wasting power.
Moreover, the smartphone will feature a self-developed tri-chip setup comprising T3 Touch Chip, P4 Super Display Chip and G3 e-sports Network Chip. The trio will be complemented by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
Aside from that, we have already seen the OnePlus 16 AnTuTu scores post some serious numbers and the smartphone will retain the OnePlus 15's look but launch in three colourways: Tomorrow Starlight, Dark Forest and Martian Masterpiece. We shall know more once the launch date nears. So, stay tuned.
