OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra Launch Date Confirmed and It Is Coming with a Snap-on Gaming Controller

After weeks of teasers, OnePlus has finally locked in the Ace 6 Ultra launch date in China. Set to debut very soon, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will also arrive with a dedicated controller accessory for an enhanced gaming experience.

After giving us our first official look at the Ace 6 Ultra, OnePlus' official Weibo account has locked in the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra launch date for April 28, 2026. Besides, the brand has revealed it will be launching a companion controller accessory with the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra called the OnePlus Strix G15 to appeal to hardcore gamers.

It will snap onto the smartphone like a case, transforming it into a precision-focused handheld. The OnePlus controller will give players four physical triggers, allowing players to use the extra inputs beyond the standard two-thumb claw grips. It enables aiming, fire and manoeuvring with improved coordination.

The marketing materials also reveal that the controller supports an ultra-responsive 1,000Hz polling rate. This translates to faster in-game reaction times, helping players ace the matches with their reaction speeds quite effectively. OnePlus calls it the "Guns Art Gamepad".

OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra Specifications (Expected)

Beyond the gamepad, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. The display is rumoured to be a 6.3-inch AMOLED unit with 1.5K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate.

Fueling the internals, though, could be a gargantuan 8,600mAh battery, which is rumoured to support 100W fast charging.

Optics-wise, the phone could get a 50 MP main camera coupled with an 8 MP ultrawide and a 16 MP front camera for selfies. The phone will be powered by ColorOS 16 features based on Android 16 out of the box.

To reiterate, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is launching on April 28, 2026, in China, but given OnePlus' track record, it's unlikely to launch outside China. More information about the smartphone should be revealed as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
