Oppo's flagship Find X9 series is expected to launch before the end of 2025. While leaks and rumours have given us a glimpse into the next Find X9 smartphones, the brand has now started revealing some of the key details coming to the lineup.
Oppo Find series Product Manager Zhou Yibao has made a Weibo post revealing some of the details of the standard Find X9. He claims that the smartphone is "powerful in all aspects and can be called the strongest flagship standard version in Oppo's history".
Yibao also shared an image which reveal the smartphone to be only 7.99mm thick. While, this may not seem like an upgrade considering the Oppo Find X8 was also 7.99mm thick. However, the key difference will lie in the battery capacity.

The upcoming Oppo flagship is expected to feature a minimum of a 1,000mAh upgrade over the Find X8. For context, the 2024 compact flagship features a 5,630mAh cell and early leaks for the Find X9 hint at a 7,025mAh capacity. Hence, we could be looking at well over 1,300mAh increase with the Find X9.
While the exact battery capacity of the smartphone remains undisclosed, one thing is certain. The Find X9 will be heavier than the Find X8 (193 grams). This is because a larger battery will inadvertently increase the overall weight of the smartphone. However, Yibao claims that, although according to basic chemical principles, the weight is expected to increase, it will still remain under 210 grams.

He further adds that the company has implemented a number of weight-reduction measures in other modules to offset this. Hence, we can expect the smartphone to still offer a balanced in-hand experience even with a higher weight.
Speaking of experience, Yibao has shared a checklist of items that the Oppo Find X9 will tick. For starters, it will feature a powerful imaging system and a flagship chipset. If we go by the current leaks, the smartphone is expected to sport a Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera setup.
It is allegedly going to house a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor, a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide angle lens and a 50 MP Samsung JN9 3x periscope camera. As for the processor, it is expected to draw its power from the MediaTek Dimensity 9500.

Additionally, Yibao claims that Find X9 will deliver the smoothest software experience with ColorOS 16 and an upgraded Tidal Engine. This means that the device will be able to intelligently allocate resources based on the nature of the tasks. The post has also confirmed an ultrasonic fingerprint as well as an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rating for the Find X9
Apart from this, in a reply to a user Yibao has confirmed 55W PPS fast charging for the Find X9. He has also mentioned improved battery life, a new eye-protection screen, narrow physical quadrilateral and rich magnetic suction ecosystem.
That said, Oppo is expected to launch the Find X9 and X9 Pro in October 2025. With just a month to go, we may see more developments and details of the upcoming flagships in the coming weeks.
