Oppo Find X9 Ultra Tipped to Arrive with a Dual Periscope Lens Setup

Oppo's next "Find X Ultra" is set to arrive in the form of the Find X9 Ultra. The device is still a few months away from officially breaking cover. However, the rumour mill is still going strong. The latest revelation now, talks about the cameras on the Find X9 Ultra.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the upcoming "Ultra" phone from Oppo will become the sole member of the Find X9 series to bring a dual periscope telephoto camera system to the mix.

While this might not seem like a major deal, considering the fact that the Find X8 Ultra also shipped with a similar setup, the big difference this time around is the X9 Ultra's exclusivity.

For context, the Oppo Find X8 Pro also featured a dual telephoto lens. However, the case seems to be not the same with the upcoming Find X9 Pro. It will arrive with a single 200 MP telephoto camera.

So, if true, this will make the Find X9 Ultra an even more enticing option next year when it will eventually launch. Apart from this, an earlier leak from DCS also hinted at a 200 MP 1/1.1-inch main camera module for the smartphone, a clear shift from the 50 MP unit on the Find X8 Ultra.

Find X9 Ultra is also getting the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 treatment

Talking of exclusivity, we already know that the Oppo Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro are getting the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. However, if we look at the past "Ultra" launch trend from the brand, the Find X9 Ultra could very well stand out with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

There is also the possibility of a 6.8-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel with the smartphone, along with 120 Hz refresh rate. Other than that, expect the Find X9 Ultra to feature a 7,000+mAh battery and ship with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
