It has been just two days since the Find X9 series from Oppo went official in China. It included the Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro. Now, details for the upcoming Oppo Find X9s, the compact flagship phone, has already surfaced online with some interesting details.
Oppo Find X9s retains its compact form but flexes a big battery
Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed that the upcoming Oppo Find X9s will pack an impressive 7,000mAh battery capacity. To do so, Oppo will apparently not compromise on the smartphone's compact identity.
For context, the previous-gen Oppo Find X8s managed to pack only a 5,700mAh battery inside. So, with the Find X9s, the brand is making good use of silicon-carbon battery tech to fit in an additional 1,300mAh inside the smartphone.
Now, while DCS has not explicitly mentioned the screen size or the dimensions of the Find X9s, we believe it will retain the same 6.32-inch display as that of the Find X8s. Even a small bump in size will very likely not exceed the 6.5-inch mark. Hence, the smartphone will still remain compact and handy as per the current small phone standards.
Apart from this, if the Find X9 launch in China was any indication, expect the upcoming Find X9s to pack a punch with the latest R&D innovations from Oppo, coupled with solid peripherals. For instance, the Find X8s launched with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor.
Now, if MediaTek decides to make an overclocked variant of the Dimensity 9500 chipset, it will likely be called the Dimensity 9500+. So, expect the Find X9s to launch with that SoC. Even if that doesn't happen, the Dimensity 9500 is the latest flagship SoC from the brand and there is no reason why it will not make its way to the upcoming phone.
As for the other details, based on what the Find X8s offered, we expect the Find X9s to feature the following set of specifications:
- 6.32-inch 1.5K 120 Hz LTPO AMOLED display with Oppo Crystal Shield Glass protection
- MediaTek Dimensity 9500+
- ColorOS 16 based on Android 16
- 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultra-wide and 50 MP periscope telephoto camera
- 32 MP selfie shooter
- 7,000mAh battery, 90W fast USB-C charging and 50W wireless charging
- IP68 + IP69 rating, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and infrared sensor
That said, none of the above details are confirmed. So, take them with a pinch of salt. We are still in the early stages of the Find X9s leaks, so expect more details to surface soon.
