After weeks and months of teasers, reveals, buildups and updates, the Oppo Find X9 series is now finally official. The devices were revealed at a dedicated Oppo event in China and are the first set of phones to ship with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Here is everything new with the Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro.
Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro arrive in China with refreshed design and powerful peripherals
Right off the bat, the most noticeable change this year is the Find X9 series design itself. Oppo is using cold sculpting technology for the back glass. It completely shifts from the Find X8 series' circular camera island, to settle for a minimal top-left aligned squircle camera deco. The section is now fused with the velvet sanded back glass, giving the smartphones a continuous, polished and interruption-free experience.

On the inside, the brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor powers both phones. The Find X9 series is the second set of devices to feature the 2025 3nm flagship octa-core processor. The new chipset is said to bring a 33% performance jump while being 55% more efficient in comparison to the Dimensity 9400. So, performance-wise, there are no compromises with the smartphones.
Additionally, both the Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro feature vapour chamber cooling support to manage the thermals inside. Oppo claims that the current models will be able to offer a minimum of 15% jump over the last-gen models when it comes to consistent frame rates and manageable temperatures.

In terms of software, the Find X9 phones are the first to ship with the ColorOS 16 update based on Android 16. It brings several new features like a redesigned homescreen and lockscreen, new transparent and dynamic lockscreen clocks, updated iconography, Trinity Engine and more.
There are also a bunch of new AI tools like AI Portrait Glow, Master Cut and several new cross-ecosystem connectivity features to O+ Connect.

Apart from the design, processor, cameras and software, the Find X9 series continues its flagship status into the display department as well. Both phones use Tianma OLED panels with SLOD (Stacked Layer OLED Device) architecture for improved energy efficiency and longevity.
Furthermore, using LIPO (Low-Injection Pressure Overmolding) technology, both smartphones have managed to bring the bezels down to just 1.10mm.
They also ship with 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz LTPO refresh rate, 3,600 nits peak brightness and Oppo Crystal Shield Glass protection. The only difference between the phones is the display size, where the Find X9 features a 6.59-inch panel and the Find X9 Pro gets a 6.78-inch screen.

Other than that, in terms of battery, while the Find X9 packs a 7,025mAh capacity, the Pro version gets an even bigger 7,500mAh unit. They are a clear upgrade over the Find X8 series' below 6,000mAh capacity. Charging-wise, both phones bring 80W fast USB-C and 50W wireless charging support.
Both phones also pack an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, triple IP66+ IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance rating, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support, NFC, dual SIM 5G and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.

Find X9 Pro steals the show with a 200 MP periscope camera
Oppo has always delivered the most flagship-level camera experience with the "Find X" portfolio of devices. With the Find X9 series, Oppo has continued its collaboration with Hasselblad to bring a triple rear camera setup to both phones. The brand has even opted for a custom Danxia Color Restoration lens for true-to-life image and video quality.
The Oppo Find X9 Pro is top-of-the-line with a new 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor paired with a periscope telephoto camera. It is a 1/1.56-inch sensor with a 0.5-micrometre pixel size and offers up to 6x in-sensor zoom.

The 200 MP 6x periscope telephoto lens is joined by a 50 MP Sony LYT-828 main camera, a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide angle module and a 50 MP Samsung JN5 selfie camera at the front.
As for the standard X9, it features the same 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide camera. However, the main camera is a toned-down 50 MP Sony LYT-808 sensor. Even the periscope module misses out on the Pro's 200 MP sensor and instead settles for a 50 MP LYT-600 sensor. Even the selfie camera is a 32 MP shooter compared to the 50 MP on the Pro model.

Now, talking about how much the brand-new Find X9 series costs, the standard Find X9 will start from 4,399 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 54,000) for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. Meanwhile, the Find X9 Pro will go on sale from 5,299 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 65,500) for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant.
It is clearly evident that while Oppo has managed to deliver a top-of-the-line experience with the Find X9 series, the brand has managed to keep the pricing competitive. Moreover, interested folks will also get a flurry of colour options to choose from.

Lastly, the Oppo Find X9 Hasselblad Camera Kit has also been launched with a price tag of 1,699 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs 21,000). It brings a new 3.28x Teleconverter lens along with a bunch of accessories like a magnetic grip holder, a magnetic ring light and more.
