Following the Oppo Find X10 series launch, Oppo is shifting its attention back to mid-range smartphones. The brand has launched the Oppo K15s and K15x in China, which focus on battery endurance and longevity without sacrificing much or leaving a hole in buyers' pockets.
Oppo K15s and K15x Specifications and Features
Starting with the design, the Oppo K15s and K15x both follow a similar language compared to the K14 series. The backs of both phones are pretty clean and minimal, but the difference lies in their camera alignment and the visual back texture. Both also feature punch-hole displays at the front.
Coming to the display, the Oppo K15s boasts a 6.57-inch FHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED display, whereas the K15x comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ 120 Hz LCD panel. The one on the K15s is a 10-bit panel with a 1,000 Hz touch sampling rate and gets as bright as 1,400 nits.
Performance-wise, the Oppo K15s features a Dimensity 6360 Max processor with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The more affordable Oppo K15x comes with a Dimensity 6300 chipset with up to 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The Oppo K15s boasts a massive 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, whereas the Oppo K15x comes with a smaller 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging. Both charge via Type-C, but while the Oppo K15s can charge at 13.5W with a PD charger, the K15x can only charge at 5W.
Optics-wise, the Oppo K15s features a superior setup with a 50 MP main camera. The front hosts an 8 MP unit for selfies. The K15x, however, features a 13 MP main camera with a 5 MP front camera.
Connectivity-wise, both feature 5G, but the Oppo K15x misses out on NFC. There's support for Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 5 on both phones. Security on the K15s is handled by an optical fingerprint scanner, whereas there's a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the K15x.

Oppo K15s and K15x Price in China and Sale Date
The base 6 GB + 128 GB variant of the Oppo K15s starts from 1,699 Chinese yuan (approx. Rs 24,000). Meanwhile, the toned-down Oppo K15x's base 8 GB + 128 GB variant starts from 1,399 Chinese yuan (approx. Rs 20,000 ).
The Oppo K15s comes in Windy Purple and Shadow Ash colourways, whereas the K15x arrives in Glacier White and Prism Purple colourways. Both smartphones are now available for sale on the Oppo China store.
