The Huawei Pura X Max launched in China recently as the world's first wide foldable. Well, it appears that Oppo is working on launching an "Oppo Reno X" that will give you the wide foldable experience without the hinge.
Oppo Reno X Key Specifications Tipped
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to reveal that he has gotten his hands on an engineering sample of what reports suggest to be the Oppo Reno X.

The smartphone is being referred to as a "wide-screen smartphone" with a 6.39-inch display featuring a "close to" 16:10 aspect ratio. Additionally, the tipster also suggests a "21xx x 13xx" resolution for this panel.
Meanwhile, someone in the comments does us a favour by posting a prototype model of a device which measures 143mm x 91mm. In reply to this, DCS replies by saying that what is believed to be the Oppo Reno X will be "pretty much the same".

Under the hood, Oppo could use a flagship Dimensity 9000 series chipset for the Reno X. A battery capacity of "around 7,000mAh" is also said to be fueling it all.
For optics, the alleged Oppo Reno X may also pack a 50 MP "flagship-level triple camera setup", with a periscope telephoto lens.
However, since this is an early engineering prototype, all of these specifications could turn out to be wildly different. Not to mention that the moniker is also subject to change, so we'd recommend taking it all with a pinch of salt.
Nothing can be said about when the Oppo Reno X could debut. However, since the Oppo Find X9 series launched in China sometime in October 2025, we can expect this wide foldable to go official alongside the Oppo Reno 10 lineup.
