After the AI-heavy February 2026 ColorOS 16 update, it is now time for Oppo phones to experience the March 2026 edition of the Android 16-based skin. This time, the update has introduced some exciting new features like multiple timers, a virus scan app and more, along with bug fixes and stability improvements.

ColorOS 16 March 2026 Update Rolling Out

As per the official Oppo Community post, Oppo phones running ColorOS 16 can now set multiple timers on a single screen. It means that for different tasks with different timers set, users will now be able to stay on top of them via a single screen, eliminating the need to jump between screens and timers. It is useful for tracking parallel tasks.

Moreover, an interesting new ColorOS 16 feature added with the March update is a new Virus Scan app. It is similar to the Phone Manager app that earlier Oppo phones had and current Realme, OnePlus and other devices offer. Using this, users will be able to detect and remove suspicious applications and protect their data and privacy. It is important to note that the feature operates on a system-level, meaning users will be able to disable it, but won't get the option to uninstall.

There are also changes to file access management, with now control for opening received files. Lastly, the Timer inside ColorOS 16 can now show estimated stop times for enhanced content planning.

As for availability, the rollout is currently underway and will continue through March 31, 2026. The official ColorOS 16 eligible devices list for the March 2026 update includes:

  • Oppo Find X9

  • Oppo Find X8
  • Oppo Find X8 Pro
  • Oppo Find X8 Ultra

  • Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G
