Poco M8 Power has launched in India as the brand's latest budget smartphone with the brand's biggest display yet, at 6.99 inches. The phone also offers a massive battery capacity with fast charging, stellar durability and a commendable software update promise.
Poco M8 Power Specifications and Features
The POCO M8 Power's biggest draw is undoubtedly its battery. The phone packs a massive 8,000mAh Silicon Carbon cell, backed by 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging support.
POCO claims the battery is good for up to three days of use, and with the bundled 45W charger, you can top up 8 hours' worth of charge in just 8 minutes. Charging is handled over a USB-C port, and despite the sizeable cell, the phone stays fairly slim at 169.70 x 79.14 x 8.4mm and 225 grams.
Up front, the Poco M8 Power sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED Eye-Care display with a 2396 x 1080 pixel resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. The panel goes up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness, covers the DCI-P3 colour gamut and comes with Sunlight Display and TÜV Eye Protection.
There's also Wet Touch 2.0 support, along with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. It's also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4nm process and paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The phone comes in 6 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 128 GB variants.
On the software front, it runs Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box, with POCO promising four Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
On the camera front, the Poco M8 Power features a 50 MP Light Fusion 400 AI dual rear camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 5P lens, while an 8 MP front camera takes care of selfies and video calls.
Rounding things out, the phone supports 5G (SA/NSA), 4G LTE, 3G, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1 and comes with an IR Blaster. It's also equipped with a virtual proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer and an electronic compass.

The Poco M8 Power is priced at Rs 21,999, which is the starting launch price of the phone. However, the exact price without launch offers is not known at the time of writing.
The phone will go on sale from August 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST and comes in Blaze Orange, Green and Black colourways.
