Poco X8 5G Launched in India with Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Chipset and 9,000mAh Battery

Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has launched the Poco X8 5G in India, thus expanding the "Poco X8" series beyond the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max. The latest Poco phone offers a competitive mix of specs amidst the ongoing RAM crisis and stands out with a high-capacity battery.

Poco X8 5G Specifications and Features

The standout feature of the Poco X8 5G, without a doubt, is its battery capacity. At 9,000mAh, this is the second Poco phone in India to rock this much battery, after the Poco X8 Pro Max. The brand claims that the phone can deliver up to 3.2 days of power on a single charge.

This is backed by 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging support. The Poco X8 5G's battery has also earned a 5-star Battery Performance Certification from TÜV SÜD.

At the front, the Poco X8 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED display, with TÜV Rheinland eye-care certification, 3,200 Hz of instant touch sampling and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, a 4nm octa-core SoC paired with an integrated Adreno GPU, backed by up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Poco X8 5G runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 out of the box.

On the camera front, the Poco X8 5G rocks a 50 MP main camera with OIS and a 2 MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 16 MP shooter. The phone also supports dual-video recording for capturing front and rear videos simultaneously. In addition, the phone comes with a suite of AI editing tools, including AI Glare Removal, AI Erase Pro, AI Image Expansion and AI Beautify.

As for the rest, the Poco X8 5G carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, dual-SIM 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and a USB-C 2.0 port.

Poco X8 5G Price in India and Sale Date

The Poco X8 5G starts from Rs 29,999 for the base 6 GB + 128 GB model. The phone also comes in 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB options, and they are priced at Rs 32,999 and Rs 35,999, respectively.

All three RAM and storage configurations will go on sale starting September 11, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST via Flipkart. The smartphone comes in Fiery Orange, Frost White and Black colour options.
