Qualcomm has just confirmed the third edition of its "Snapdragon For India" event and it's set for May 7, 2026. The official Snapdragon India handle dropped the news on X with the message "we’ve saved the best for now".
Qualcomm India's head of marketing, Sumit Sonal, announced that this edition is going to be "bigger and bolder than ever". The event will be livestreamed on the official Snapdragon YouTube channel.
What to Expect from the Snapdragon for India Event?
Previous edition of this event gave India budget 5G chips so this time too, we may see a Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 successor or a fresh entry in the 6s 4G series. Qualcomm has been quietly expanding its portfolio for cost-sensitive markets.
Apart from that, the Vivo X300 Ultra is launching on May 6, 2026, powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Ultra flagship will be accompanied by the Vivo X300 FE, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor is launching on May 7, 2026. These launches are stacked around the Snapdragon for India event and we may see Qualcomm using these launches to discuss its flagship as well as budget chip offerings.

Not to mention, Qualcomm is going all-in on India. The company recently partnered with Tata Electronics for the automotive module manufacturing in Assam. It also reportedly completed a 2nm chip tape-out designed in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Qualcomm hosted its first-ever Snapdragon Auto Day in 2025, where it showcased partnerships with Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra and Royal Enfield. Not to forget, the chipmaker tied up with Lenskart for Snapdragon XR-powered AI smart glasses. So expect the May 7 keynote to include budget 5G chipsets, automotive, XR, and likely a Snapdragon X2 Plus launch for India's Copilot+ PC market.
Qualcomm used the 2024 edition of Snapdragon For India to officially launch the 1st-gen Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus chipsets for Copilot+ PCs in the country. So, we may see Snapdragon X2 series debut on May 7, complete with OEM partnerships and pricing.
