Realme is reportedly gearing up to launch the Realme 16 Pro series in India very soon. The series, which is considered to be upper mid-range smartphones, could consist of Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro,+ and they could launch in the country as soon as next month.
Realme 16 Pro+ cameras could include a telephoto lens
According to new information from tipster Sanju Choudhary on X, the Realme 16 Pro series is scheduled to launch on January 6, 2026. The base storage will start from 8 GB + 128 GB and is rumoured to go all the way up to 12 GB + 512 GB.

Previous Realme 16 Pro leak suggested the phone could arrive in three colours – Master Grey, Master Gold and Camellia Pink. As for the other specifications, the Reamle 16 Pro+ is rumoured to get a 200 MP main camera paired with a telephoto lens and a 50 MP front camera.
As for the display, it could feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED with a 144 Hz refresh rate. Sanju also reveals that an unknown octa-core chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2.5 GHz could power the Realme 16 Pro series.

We suggest you take this with a grain of salt, as no current modern mid-range Qualcomm processor has a 2.5 GHz maximum clock speed on its prime cores. We'd expect the series to stick to Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 just like the Realme 15 Pro, or any other Snapdragon 7 series chipset.
For those unaware, Realme skipped the "Plus" variant in the Realme 15 Pro, and it's now poised to make a return in the Realme 16 Pro series. Besides, the series is also rumoured to stick to 7,000mAh batteries, the same as the previous generation.
We're less than a month away from launch, and more information should be unveiled as we inch closer, so stay tuned.
