The Realme 16 Pro series is coming very soon, and we learned from previous rumours that the brand may launch a Plus variant this time around. The latest leak reveals the retail packaging of the Realme 16 Pro+, with the tipster confirming the presence of a Periscope telephoto camera.

A leaked image of the Realme 16 Pro+ retail unit has surfaced online courtesy of a Weibo user Repeater002. While the image of the box doesn't directly reveal that the phone features a Periscope lens, the user claims it does.

This is a significant development for the fans of the series, as the periscope lens was a standout feature on the older Realme 14 Pro+ but was absent from the Realme 15 lineup, which didn't include a Pro+ model.
The return of the Realme 16 Pro+ suggests Realme plans on repositioning itself in the mid-range market. While the China launch date is currently unknown, the Realme 16 Pro India launch date is tipped to be January 6, 2026.

While specific specifications remain under wraps, the introduction of a periscope lens suggests the phone may carry a higher price tag. If that indeed turns out to be the case, the Realme 16 Pro+ could be priced as an upper-mid-range smartphone.
Potential Realme 16 Pro storage variants were leaked earlier last month, with the smartphone bearing the SKU number RMX5120 IN. The leak suggested that the phone will arrive in four storage variants, starting from 8 GB + 128 GB, all the way to 12 GB + 512 GB. Besides, it also revealed the potential colours of the device – Pebble Grey, Master Gold and Orchid Purple.

As for its other potential specifications, we expect it to arrive with a Snapdragon 7 series processor and feature a 6.8-inch 144 Hz AMOLED display. More details should be unveiled as we inch closer to launch, so stay tuned.
