If you were planning to buy a Realme 16 series phone, you'll want to check the price tag again. Realme has revised prices across the Realme 16 Pro, Realme 16 5G and Realme C83 5G in India, marking yet another round of price hikes for the phones.
Realme 16 Series and C83 5G Get More Expensive in India
The development was shared by tipster Sanju Choudhary on X, who posted a breakdown of the revised prices in what appears to be an internal document to retail partners. The document attributes the hike to the ongoing RAM crisis as well, stating an "unavoidable increase in memory, chipset and overall smartphone ecosystem costs".
It also notes that the revised prices for the Realme 16 Pro 5G, Realme 16 5G and Realme C83 5G are effective from today, July 6, 2026. We checked on our end and yes, the price hikes are already live across all platforms.

Here's a quick rundown of the new pricing:
| Realme Phone Model and Variant | Old Price | New Price |
|---|---|---|
| Realme 16 Pro 8 GB + 128 GB | Rs 37,999 | Rs 40,999 |
| Realme 16 Pro 8 GB + 256 GB | Rs 40,999 | Rs 43,999 |
| Realme 16 Pro 12 GB + 256 GB | Rs 43,999 | Rs 46,999 |
| Realme 16 5G 8 GB + 128 GB | Rs 34,999 | Rs 35,999 |
| Realme 16 5G 8 GB + 256 GB | Rs 37,999 | Rs 38,999 |
| Realme 16 5G 12 GB + 256 GB | Rs 40,999 | Rs 41,999 |
| Realme C83 5G 4 GB + 64 GB | Rs 16,499 | Rs 17,499 |
| Realme C83 5G 4 GB + 128 GB | Rs 18,499 | Rs 19,499 |
| Realme C83 5G 6 GB + 128 GB | Rs 20,499 | Rs 22,499 |
The Realme 16 Pro takes the biggest hit this time, with prices climbing by up to Rs 3,000 across its three RAM and memory variants. The Realme 16 5G sees a comparatively small increase of Rs 1,000, while the budget Realme C83 5G goes up by Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000, depending on the variant.

This isn't the first time these phones have gotten pricier. The Realme 15, 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ prices were hiked back in February, and the entire Realme 16 series was hiked again in May. The phones got hiked again about 10 days ago and now, with the latest round, the Realme 16 Pro alone has been hiked multiple times within the same year.
Realme isn't alone in this either, with practically every major smartphone brand in India like Samsung, OnePlus and Vivo raising prices as the ongoing global memory shortage worsens. Not to mention that recently, Apple hiked its product prices as well and although iPhones were spared this time, they could be next in line. We're tracking every one of these changes in our India smartphone price hike tracker, which we keep updating as new hikes roll in.
At this point, with memory shortages expected to persist well into 2028, expect to see more price revisions across the industry. Realme 16 series price hikes are just a repeat example of how horrible the situation really is.
