After much anticipation, another Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 smartphone has landed in India. This time it's from Realme. The brand has officially unveiled the Realme GT 8 Pro in India with flagship specifications, large batteries and Ricoh-powered imaging system.
Realme GT 8 Pro features a 200 MP Periscope camera
Kicking things off with the display, the Realme GT 8 Pro features a 6.79-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. This panel offers 7,000 nits of peak brightness, making it one of the brightest. Besides, it's a 10-bit display with a 3,200 Hz touch sampling rate.

Design-wise, Realme has packed in curved glass panels. A feature unique to the GT 8 Pro is its swappable aesthetic camera module, letting users personalise their phone. The GT 8 Pro measures 8.3 mm in thickness and weighs about 218 grams.
Under the hood, the Realme GT 8 Pro packs Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It's an octa-core SoC based on TSMC's 3 nm N3P manufacturing process and boasts Nuvia's latest 3rd generation Oryon cores. It is paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

On to the cameras, the primary camera is a 50 MP wide IMX890 snapper with OIS. It's paired with another 50 MP ultrawide Samsung JN5 lens, but the star of the show is a 200 MP periscope ISOCELL HP5 camera, which offers 3x optical zoom capabilities. For selfies, there's a 32 MP front camera tucked inside the hole-punch display.
Thanks to the Ricoh partnership, the phone gets a dedicated Ricoh GR Mode, which provides filters and customisations to the camera tailored for street photography. On the video front, the smartphone supports up to 8K 30 fps and 4K 120 fps recording. Out of the box, the Realme GT 8 Pro runs the latest Realme UI 7.0 features based on Android 16.

Battery capacity is another notable feature, as the GT 8 Pro boasts a 7,000mAh cell that supports 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Connectivity-wise, the phone features a USB 2.0 Type-C port, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC for contactless payments.
Realme GT 8 Pro India pricing starts under Rs 75,000
Coming to the pricing, colours and availability, the Realme GT 8 Pro's base 12 GB + 256 GB variant costs Rs 72,999, whereas the 512 GB variant costs Rs 78,999.
Colour options include Blue, White and Green. Speaking of which, the GT 8 Pro has an Aston Martin edition with Racing Green colour, but it has not yet been announced in India.

As for availability, the Realme GT 8 Pro goes on sale starting November 25, 2025, via Flipkart, Realme India store and partner retail stores. Early customers can avail a Rs 5,000 bank discount as well as get the camera deco set bundled as part of the first sale.
