The 2025 Realme GT 8 series flagship phones will go official in China in just a few days. While the brand has already teased some of its major details, most of the other specs are still under wraps. That changes today with a new leak, which reveals some additional key information about both phones.
Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will both share a lot of the key peripherals
Tipster Panda is very bald, via Weibo, has revealed almost every major detail that we need to know for the Realme GT 8 and the GT 8 Pro. Starting with the display, both phones are said to feature the exact 6.78-inch flat AMOLED panel with 2K resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate.

In terms of the battery capacity as well, the Realme GT 8 Pro will share the same 7,000mAh capacity as that of the standard GT 8. They will differ in terms of charging speeds, where the standard GT 8 will gain 100W fast charging and the Pro variant is said to bring 120W fast USB-C charging support. Moreover, Realme is also adding 50W wireless charging support to the GT 8 Pro.
Performance-wise, it was earlier confirmed that the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. So, there are no surprises there. However, Panda believes that the GT 8 will draw its power from the 2024 Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

The major difference between the two smartphones will be visible largely in the camera department. Thanks to the Realme GT 8 Pro Ricoh partnership, it will have more superior hardware and is confirmed to feature a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor, working in tandem with a 3x periscope lens. It is also expected to pair up with a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
However, the standard GT 8 will not feature any standout camera hardware. While it might gain the 50 MP primary unit of the Pro, it will have a downgraded 50 MP periscope camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide unit.

Moreover, it is also not clear if the standard variant will support the swappable camera covers like the GT 8 Pro. Apart from this, both phones are expected to feature Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.
That said, the Realme GT 8 launch date in China is scheduled for October 21, 2025. Hence, we will know for sure what both phones have in store for us in just three more days.
