Realme GT 8 Pro will launch next week as the first Ricoh-branded camera phone
Realme will make the upcoming Realme GT 8 series official in China on October 21, 2025, at a dedicated launch event from 3:00 PM CST (12:30 PM IST).
The biggest highlight this year is the first-ever imaging partnership for Realme with Ricoh. The upcoming Realme GT 8 Pro will become the first smartphone to be born out of this partnership and make use of the signature colour science of the Ricoh GR series point-and-shoot cameras.

Moreover, at a dedicated Image Strategic Cooperation event, a dedicated Realme GT 8 Pro Ricoh GR Mode was recently confirmed. This will enable fast startup speeds, mimic the GR IV shutter sound, a new Snap mode for quick captures and a Viewfinder Mode for composition focus.
Other than that, the GT 8 Pro will also bring new custom Ricoh-tuned lens for high transparency, minimal distortion and an improved anti-glare performance. Expect the smartphone to support a swappable camera module system to help users change the shape and look of the camera deco.

The Realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by the latest and the greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. While the brand has not officially confirmed the SoC for the standard model, a recent Realme GT 8 Geekbench listing revealed the 2024 flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for the smartphone.

Apart from this, the GT 8 Pro is also expected to ship with a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 periscope telephoto camera, a 7,300mAh battery and a 6.8-inch 2K 144Hz LTPO OLED display.
That said, since the official launch event of the GT 8 series is in a week's time, we will know more details for both phones shortly. It is important to note that the Realme UI 7 release date in China is also set for this month. So, expect the Android 16-based OS skin to launch alongside the GT 8 series.
