Realme is all set to unveil its latest performance-centric smartphone, the Realme Neo 8, in China on January 22, 2026. However, just before the official debut, the brand has released promotional material confirming several features, including its massive battery capacity and display refresh rate.

Realme Neo 8 will feature a 165 Hz Display and 8,000mAh Battery

Realme's official Weibo account has posted a few promotional images of its upcoming Realme Neo 8 smartphone and they reveal the battery capacity to be 8,000mAh. The brand also claims the phone will support bypass charging and that the battery's high durability could make it last for up to five years.

In another post, Realme revealed that the Neo 8 will boast a Samsung M14 display. This display reportedly increases luminous efficiency by 26% and increases the screen lifespan by 50%. Besides reaching a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, it also boasts covers 103% of P3 colour gamut.

While the posts don't reveal the charging speeds, rumours suggest the phone will boast 80W fast charging. Realme is also prioritising durability with the phone boasting IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings with Realme's Crystal Armour Glass.

As for the other specifications, the Realme Neo 8 teased Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with up to 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. Other leaks point toward a 50 MP main camera coupled with a 50 MP periscope lens. Software-wise, the phone will run Realme UI 7.0 features based on Android 16, with a promise of four years of Android updates

The handset could also feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and launch in Origin White and Cyber Purple colourways. The latter is expected to feature transparent elements coupled with a purple LED light.

With the launch just three days away, more information about the smartphone should be revealed very soon. While we don't have information about the Neo 8's arrival in India, the smartphone could potentially launch as the Realme GT 8T, just like the Realme Neo 7 was rebranded to Realme GT 7T.
