The Redmi K90 Max is launching in China next week, positioned between the regular K90 and the top-end K90 Pro Max. A couple of days ago, the brand officially showcased the Redmi K90 Max design and now, we have confirmation on the phone's processor, battery and other key specifications.
Redmi K90 Max Confirmed to Pack Massive 8,550mAh Battery
A flurry of new teaser images from Redmi has confirmed that the upcoming Redmi K90 Max will ship with a mammoth 8,550mAh battery. What makes this more impressive is the fact that, unlike other phones which use a split-cell setup to pack more capacity, K90 Max will use a single high-density silicon carbon cell.

It will also support 100W fast USB-C charging with PPS protocol and 22.5W reverse wired charging to help users top up their accessories like TWS and power banks. This will bring the Redmi K90 Max at par in charging with the regular Redmi K90 and top-tier Redmi K90 Pro Max.
Aside from battery and charging, the brand has also confirmed the phone will draw its power from the flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset. This will make the Redmi K90 Max the most powerful K90 series phone to date.
Previously, the brand also confirmed a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a high 165 Hz refresh rate and an official IP66 + IP68 + IP69K water resistance rating for the K90 Max. That said, with the Redmi K90 Max China launch officially scheduled for April 21, 2026, we will only have to wait for a week before the smartphone goes official. So stay tuned.
