Back in August 2025, Redmi launched its budget Note 14 SE 5G smartphone in India and revived the "SE" tag after a brief hiatus. Now, the sequel is finally on the way ahead of schedule, as the brand has announced the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G launch date in India.
Redmi Note 15 SE 5G India Launch Date Set for April 2026
The official Redmi India X handle has revealed that Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will launch in India on April 2, 2026. It will be offered as a Flipkart Unique product and will go live at 12:00 PM IST. Redmi is marketing the upcoming phone as "Faster. Bolder. Simply Better".
Alongside the launch date reveal, we also get a partial look at the upcoming special edition Redmi phone. Its bottom half has been revealed to feature a Wine Red leather back with a shiny golden mid-frame. Although the top portion is covered with a Dark Red veil, we can make out a top-centred positioned squircle camera deco with individual lens rings. The design is reminiscent of the newly launched Redmi Note 15 5G.
This makes sense since Xiaomi's SE models have always been about retaining almost a similar design to their current Note series while offering a much more competitive specs-to-price ratio. The same seems to be true for the Note 15 SE 5G. To recall, the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G launched in India for Rs 14,999.
However, given the current RAM situation, it is likely the Note 15 SE 5G will launch with a price hike. We are expecting the phone to start in India at under Rs 20,000. As for specs, Redmi has not hinted at the Note 15 SE 5G details at the moment. However, given that the launch is just next week, we expect more official details to surface shortly.
