The Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro launched in China back in July 2026 and their global launch is also expected to be right around the corner. However, a new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max may join the two phones in the global markets, as the phone has now made an appearance on Geekbench.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has been spotted on Geekbench by tipster Anvin on X. The phone has emerged with the Xiaomi 2609FRA74G model number, where the suffix "G" denotes a global variant.
The Geekbench 7 listing of the Note 17 Pro Max reveals 924 points and 2,923 points in the single-core and multi-core scores, respectively. The phone is also spotted running Android 16 with 8 GB of RAM.
As for the processor, the listing suggests that the phone will feature an octa-core SoC, with 4 cores clocked at 2.02 GHz and 4 cores clocked at 2.61 GHz. Given how familiar the CPU architecture is, we are most likely looking at the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
This doesn't come as a surprise since a recent Redmi Note 17 series global spec leak revealed the same processor for the Note 17 Pro Max and other major details.

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED display with 3,500 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The smartphone is expected to feature a massive 9,210mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging support. Such a large battery capacity is said to make the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 8.65 mm thick and weigh 229.5 grams.
The smartphone could feature a 50 MP f/1.5 OIS main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens. The selfie camera is said to be 32 MP. Aside from that, the phone could bring IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K dust and water resistance, an in-display fingerprint scanner, HyperOS 3, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage and more.
That said, Xiaomi is yet to announce the launch date of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The phone will be joined by the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro. So, stay tuned for more updates.
