The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G has launched in India, further expanding the brand's budget smartphone portfolio in India. Positioned below the Galaxy A37 5G, the new handset brings impressive features to the sub-Rs 30,000 segment, including an AMOLED display, a decent Snapdragon chipset and extended software support.
Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Specifications and Features
On paper, the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is actually identical to the newly launched Galaxy M47 5G. The Galaxy A27 features the same 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 1,200 nits of HBM and 1,900 nits of peak brightness.
The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, while the phone carries an IP64 rating. To make the multimedia experience all the more immersive, the phone also sports stereo speakers.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. On the software front, the phone runs on One UI 8.5 out of the box. Samsung is also promising six years of Android OS updates and security patches.
For photos and videos, the Galaxy A27 5G utilises the same camera setup as the M47 5G. There's a 50 MP primary rear camera with OIS along with a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2 MP macro lens. At the front, there's a 12 MP selfie shooter. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K @ 30 FPS video recording.
Fueling the smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and a USB-C port. The phone
Samsung has thrown a bunch of Galaxy AI features into the mix as well, which include Circle to Search, Object Eraser and Voice Transcription. Users can also choose between Gemini, Perplexity and Bixby as the default AI assistant.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is available in three storage variants:

- Galaxy A27 5G 8 GB + 128 GB price in India: Rs 31,999
- Galaxy A27 5G 8 GB + 256 GB price in India: Rs 37,499
The smartphone comes in Black, Light Green and Light Pink colourways. Sales begin on July 3, 2026, via leading e-commerce platforms and the official Samsung India website. Launch offers include a bank discount and UPI cashback of Rs 3,000.
From the looks of it, the Galaxy A27 5G is a solid contender to enter the list of best phones under Rs 25,000. In that segment, the phone essentially competes with the likes of the Galaxy M47 5G, the newly launched OnePlus N6 and more.
