Last month, Samsung made the stable OneUI 8.5 update official with the Galaxy S26 series. It has so far stayed limited to the latest Galaxy lineup and is yet to reach other Samsung phones. Now, that could change very soon with the Galaxy S25 series receiving stable OneUI 8.5 build very soon.
Stable OneUI 8.5 spotted for Galaxy S25 series
Spotted by tipster Tarun Vats, the stable build of OneUI 8.5 has gone live on the test server for the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The new firmware build ends with the CZC9 for India, the US and Europe, which Vats claims to be the stable version. There is also another build ending with ZZC9 and it is said to be the beta for Korea.

This paints a confusing picture since the OneUI 8.5 Beta 5 update is expected to hit Galaxy S25 phones shortly. So, at the time of writing, it is unclear whether Samsung will move straightaway to the stable release or first seed the beta 5 and then proceed with the stable version.
Now, while the stable build of OneUI 8.5 is not set to bring in any major new changes, it will finally bring the Pexplexity-powered Bixby multi-AI agent experience to the Galaxy S25 series. It is currently exclusively available on the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Aside from that, with OneUI 8.5 stable update, Galaxy S25 series phones will also gain an all-new AI-focused camera experience with natural language processing features for Generative Restoration, Environmental Alteration and Image Merging.
That said, at the time of writing, we are not sure when exactly the new update is coming. Samsung usually updates its Samsung Experience app homepage with latest OneUI 8.5 updates. So, make sure to keep a close watch at it to become the first one to know when the beta build drops for Galaxy S25 lineup.
