Samsung Galaxy S26 May Not Get a Price Hike After All

Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy S26 series, and while the series' leaked specifications point to interesting upgrade, there was a problem, or so did we thought. Earlier rumours suggested Samsung could increase the price, but latest information suggests Samsung could stick to the same price as last year.

Samsung Galaxy S26 could cost the same as Galaxy S25

The information comes from prominent tipster Ice Universe, who claims that the Galaxy S26 series will launch at the same price point as the Galaxy S25 series. This contradicts earlier rumours that claimed that the new lineup would be more expensive due to the RAM crisis.

Following the suit, the tipster also suggests that the price freezing will extend to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, which will also boast the same price as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. This means that Samsung has decided to absorb the costs and won't be passing them on to the consumers, as Nothing did with the Phone (3a) Lite price bump today.

Besides the price information, the leak also reveals that Samsung could hold its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026. Following the unveiling, the devices could hit the retail shelves as early as March 2026. Samsung's foldables, on the other hand, are expected to arrive in July 2026.

The Galaxy A57 5G passed BIS certification recently, and it could launch at Galaxy Unpacked 2026, alongside Galaxy A37 and A07. Apart from the two foldable form factors, rumours point toward a wide Samsung foldable that the brand could launch to compete with Apple's foldable iPhone in the fall of 2026.
