Details about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 series have started to surface. We know quite a bit about the upcoming phones, but the latest Galaxy S26 Ultra leak points to a potential design change. The device could boast a camera island.
X user Ice Universe posted an image of the Galaxy S26 Ultra in a case, giving us a closer glimpse at the design of the device. The case has raised lips around the camera to accommodate a raised camera bar, suggesting the Galaxy S26 Ultra, like the Galaxy S26 and S26 Pro, will boast a camera island.

In hindsight, the back of the S26 Ultra should look very similar to the Galaxy S25 Edge with three cameras instead of two. The other two lenses are not a part of the island, and their placement resembles that of the previous Galaxy S series devices.
The image also reveals Galaxy S26 Ultra's rumoured slim bezels. We can also see the power and volume rockers on the right and a small punch hole front snapper. The case appears to be a hybrid bumper unit from an unknown manufacturer

Besides, we also know that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may feature faster 60W charging, although the battery size is expected to remain the same at 5,000mAh.
Lastly, Samsung is shifting things in the Galaxy S26 series, potentially ditching the "Plus" variant and renaming the standard S26 to S26 Pro. The series is now expected to consist of the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Edge and S26 Ultra.
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in January 2026 at the Galaxy Unpacked event. More details about the phone's exact release date and specifications should surface soon, but until then, stay tuned.
