Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Tab S12 series, featuring the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+. Both tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, marking the company's first use of a MediaTek chipset in its flagship tablets.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is the more premium of the two, sporting a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 2960 x 1848 resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness.
It's only 5.1 mm thick and weighs 692 grams for the Wi-Fi model. It has a sizeable battery capacity of 11,600mAh and supports 45W fast charging. On the camera front, the Tab S12 Ultra carries a 13 MP main + 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 12 MP ultrawide front shooter.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S12+ comes with a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 2800 x 1752 resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits peak brightness. It has a single 13 MP rear camera and the same 12 MP ultrawide front shooter as the S12 Ultra.
The Galaxy S12 Plus is 5.3mm thick and weighs 553 grams. The battery is slightly smaller at 10,600 mAh and also supports 45W charging, but the adapter is sold separately.
Both tablets come with MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processors with vapour chamber cooling. They also have IP68 water and dust resistance, quad speakers with 4-channel spatial audio, Bluetooth 6.0, and dual-SIM support on the 5G variants.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series is launching with the One UI 9 update based on Android 17. Both tablets will come with Adobe Photoshop, which Samsung claims is a first for any Android tablet.
Buyers also get a six-month trial of Google AI Pro, a six-month Notability subscription, one year of Goodnotes, and discounts on LumaFusion, Notion, and Clip Studio Paint.

In terms of colour options, both tablets will be available in a single Grey colour option. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra comes in three storage configurations: 12 GB + 256 GB, 12 GB + 512 GB, and 16 GB + 1 TB.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ is available in 12 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 512 GB options. Both tablets support microSD expansion up to 2 TB.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at $1,399 (approx. Rs 1,17,500), while the Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at $1,199 (approx. Rs 1,00,500) in the USA. Both tablets will be available starting October 22, 2026. India pricing and availability have not been announced yet.
