Samsung debuted One UI 8.5 in the Galaxy S26 series, adding a host of new AI features to its ever-expanding AI suite. However, the same features are now trickling down to older generation hardware, to its foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 brings two new AI features that were missing from the initial builds.
Galaxy S26 AI Features Are Coming to Galaxy Z Fold 7
Earlier today, a user took to Samsung Community to post about the latest June 2026 software update to the Galaxy Fold 7, adding more AI features to the existing ones. The post was then spotted by SamMobile, which reported that two major Galaxy AI features – Priority Notifications and Files Summaries are now rolling out to Z Fold 7 users in South Korea.

For those unaware, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 received almost all the One UI 8.5 features on schedule, the final stable release missed out on two of them. The two features, Priority Notifications and File Summaries, can aid in increasing the productivity of users by automatically managing data for them.
For starters, the Android 16 QPR2 feature, Priority Notifications, uses the phone's native Gemini Nano model to sort incoming notifications based on categories. This helps users to focus on priority notifications first and deal with promotional messages later.
Besides, File Summaries analyses PDFs and text documents to generate a quick brief on their contents to make it easier for users to know what files are what. It's a handy feature that should prove to be super useful to those who deal with a lot of files on a daily basis.
That said, it's worth noting that the update is only available in South Korea at the moment. It is expected to expand to the US and eventually to Europe and India in the coming days, so stay tuned!
