Veteran Samsung analyst Tarun Vats took to X to share that Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8.5 Beta 8 update to the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

It has arrived as a follow-up to the One UI 8.5 Beta 7 update that went live for the Galaxy S25 series last month and features the firmware build version S938BXXU9ZZD5 and brings the April 2026 security patch along with it. It is a minor release with a 865.29 MB download size.
As part of this new update, Samsung's camera app now gets three new camera filters - Classic Film, Pop Film and Blanc. The update has also improved the AirDrop experience with QuickShare support. Other than that, the latest OneUI 8.5 update essentially focuses on underlying bug fixes and system stability improvements.

Similar to the Galaxy S23 lineup, we can expect the Galaxy A36 5G to get all the new One UI 8.5 features, including the new Pexplexity-powered Bixby.
That said, it is clear that Samsung is prepping to introduce the stable One UI 8.5 update by this month itself. Hence, it is ensuring all One UI 8.5 eligible devices are already running the beta update.
So, if you are reading this from India and own any of the above-mentioned phones, make sure to check for the latest One UI 8.5 update by heading over to Settings -> Software update -> Download and install. In case it is not live yet, we urge you to wait for a few days, as the update is being shipped in batches.
