After months of leaks and rumours surrounding its next-gen foldables, Samsung has officially started teasing its highly anticipated wide-screen Galaxy Fold. Expected to be named the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the South Korean company has shared a slew of teaser videos, offering the first official hint at the phone's existence.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide Teased
Samsung has uploaded six short video teasers across its official social media channels, building toward the release of Galaxy Z Fold 8. While the clips do not reveal the smartphone, they focus on the rumoured Galaxy Z Fold 8 design and a wide form factor.

For those unaware, a recent Galaxy Z Fold 8 series case leak confirmed Samsung's next-gen naming conventions. The wide-screen foldable will be called Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the regular, taller foldable will be renamed the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Throughout the promotional videos, Samsung repeatedly emphasises the phone's unique form factor with text like "New Shape" and "A sweet reveal". One of the videos includes what looks to be the official Galaxy Z Fold 8 wallpaper.
Besides, the other teaser videos include different elements like a pizza, a puzzle, and a Dalgona cookie being altered in a way to depict a shift, likely representing the phone's wider form factor.
The phrases, too, seemingly hint at the heavily rumoured wider aspect ratio of the foldable phone. This marketing push aligns with recent hardware leaks, wherein Z Fold 8 dummy unit videos and Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 official cases surfaced online.
With promotional teasers rolling out, Samsung is likely to announce the Unpacked event date soon. The rumours currently point to the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 being held on July 22, 2026, where Samsung is also expected to officially announce One UI 9 features and eligible devices based on Android 17.
