Apple released the iOS 27.2 update a few hours ago, with several Siri AI upgrades. Alongside the update, the Cupertino brand has now officially confirmed which new languages Siri AI supports and Apple’s announcement also includes some news that many users might not like.
According to Apple’s newsroom post, Siri AI now supports five new languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Until now, Siri AI only worked in English. Apple will also add Chinese (traditional), Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese by the end of the year.

The new languages work on iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2. Users will need an Apple Intelligence supported device, with Siri and the device set to a supported language. Apple still calls Siri AI a beta. It’s also not available in the EU yet, or for users under 13.
For Indian users, there’s no news yet. Hindi and other Indian languages are not on the list, and Apple has not said when they will arrive. So, for now, users will have to stick to English to use Siri AI in India. You can check whether your phone supports it with our list of Siri AI-compatible iPhones.
Apple Reveals Siri AI Usage Limit and Paid Access
Alongside new language support, Apple has also confirmed that Siri AI and some other server-based features come with daily usage limits. These include:
- Siri AI
- Intelligent photo editing tools
- Image Playground
- AFM 3 Cloud models in Shortcuts
Apple says that “expanded access to such features will be available for a fee in the future.” In simple terms, users will get a free daily limit, but they will likely have to pay if they want to use these features more. Apple hasn’t revealed the pricing or when this paid tier will launch.
That said, Apple says Siri AI can understand your personal context across messages, emails and photos, act on what’s on your screen and take actions inside apps, “without compromising users’ privacy.” Now, only time will tell how much Apple will charge for it.
