Apple has unveiled iOS 27 at WWDC 2026 with a chockful of AI features. While there are several new Apple Intelligence features, everyone's eyes are set on the new Siri AI experience. The company finally overhauled Siri with AI capabilities, but not every iPhone supports the revamped AI experience. So, for those wondering if their iPhone supports Siri AI, check out the complete Siri AI compatibility list here.
Siri AI Supported Devices
The latest iOS update brings several impressive performance optimisations, such that the supported devices haven't changed from iOS 26. Apple will release iOS 27 to the iPhone 11 series and the iPhone SE 2020, models you would have expected to lose support this time around.
However, in its official blog post, Apple confirmed that not every iPhone present on the iOS 27 eligible devices list will get the new Siri AI.
Apple mentions that all of the following devices will be eligible for the new Siri AI:
- iPhone 17
- iPhone 17 Pro
- iPhone 17 Pro Max
- iPhone 17e
- iPhone Air
- iPhone 16
- iPhone 16 Plus
- iPhone 16 Pro
- iPhone 16 Pro Max
- iPhone 16e
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
So, as you can see, while iOS 27 will be released for over 30 iPhones, the new, revamped Siri AI will only be available on 12 iPhone models that also support Apple Intelligence.
Moreover, Apple mentioned that their most powerful on-device device, which enables features such as "expressive voices and more advanced dictation", will be available on just three iPhone models. These include the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air.
All New Siri AI Features
The Siri AI experience is powered by next-gen Apple Foundation models that are based on Google's Gemini AI model. These enable Siri to finally come alive and no longer be a dud, unable to set multiple reminders or alarms.
Siri AI is capable and not shy about showing off its capabilities. The new AI assistant brings on-screen awareness, personal context understanding, search support, and improved conversational support. It now also has a dedicated app and even resides in the camera app to deliver new Visual Intelligence features.

Moreover, Siri AI has a brand-new Liquid Glass-based look and now resides in the Dynamic Island. You can now also swipe down from the Dynamic Island to open a new 'Ask Siri' search bar to type in your queries. Siri AI's voice can also be customised, allowing you to change the pace and expression.
Overall, Siri AI seems like the AI assistant that Apple promised to deliver nearly two years ago. Though it's going to release in beta, with a waitlist, later this year, the feature set looks appealing.
We've already installed the iOS 27 Developer Beta and joined the waitlist to gain access to the new Siri AI features. Once we get access, we will test all the new features and share hands-on experiences with you for each new capability.
