TCL has launched the P80 series at IFA 2026, bringing three new models to the P-lineup, namely the P80, P80 Pro and P80 Ultra. The headlining feature is the NXTPAPER display technology, which TCL is using for the first time, on top of an AMOLED panel.
TCL P80, P80 Pro and P80 Ultra Specifications and Features
NXTPAPER has been TCL's signature display technology for a few years now. However, it has always been limited to LCD panels. With the TCL P80 Pro and TCL P80 Ultra, that finally changes to AMOLED panels.

Both phones feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K NXTPAPER AMOLED display with a matte and low-glare coating at the top. TCL says that this helps the P80 Pro and P80 Ultra cut down on blue light and reduce eye fatigue during long reading sessions.
The panels also support a 120 Hz refresh rate and reach up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. They also come with an anti-fingerprint coating and support an in-display fingerprint scanner. Moreover, both phones also get a dedicated physical NXTPAPER key on the frame for switching modes: Paper Mode and Max Ink Mode.

As for the base TCL P80, it comes with a regular 6.83-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED display without the NXTPAPER tech on top and a physical NXTPAPER key.
