Tecno has finally announced the India launch date of its flagship phone, the Camon 50 Ultra. As per a teaser page on Amazon, the phone is launching in India on 17th July at 12 PM with the tagline "Sees It All". The Camon 50 Ultra made its global debut at MWC 2026 back in March, and now, after a wait of 4 months, it's coming to the Indian market.
Tecno Camon 50 Ultra Brings a 50MP Telephoto Camera
The notable feature of the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra is its camera system. The phone features a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary sensor with OIS, which is paired with a 50MP 3x telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. The telephoto camera supports AI-enhanced modes like 100x SuperZoom, and on the front, you get a 50MP selfie camera.
On the design front, the Amazon teaser shows off Tecno's Silk-Flow Design with a glowing accent line on the curved rear panel. The phone measures just 7.75mm in thickness and will be sold in three colours in India: Nebula Titanium, Cypress Green and Misty Purple.
Note that during the Europe launch of Tecno Camon 50 Ultra, it was launched in Moonshadow Black and Luminous Orange colours too, but those two colour variants don't seem to be part of the India lineup for now.
As for the specs, the Camon 50 Ultra sports a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate panel. Under the hood, it's powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset, and it's the same silicon found on the Camon 50 Pro.
The phone packs a large 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. For durability, it brings IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K ratings along with MIL-STD-810 military-grade certification.
On the software side, the phone runs Android 16-based HiOS 16 out of the box and Tecno has promised up to 3 years of major OS updates. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, NFC and an IR blaster.
Now, coming to the price. Tecno has not revealed the India pricing yet, but the phone launched in Europe at around 400 euros (roughly Rs 42,500). However, due to smartphone price hikes, the Tecno Camon 50 Ultra might cost around Rs 50,000. We will know the final numbers on 17th July so stay tuned.
