Tecno is prepping the Pova 8 Pro 5G and the smartphone has just taken a major step closer to its official debut. Following its recent appearances on FCC and TUV certification websites, the smartphone has finally showed up on Google Play Console, which reveals its design from the front alongside key specifications.
Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G Key Specifications Listed on Play Console
Spotted first by Xpertpick, the upcoming Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G smartphone has appeared on the Google Play Console, suggesting the phone is one step closer to launch. The phone bears the model number TECNO-LK7 and appears to feature 4x Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz.

As all the tech enthusiasts might have guessed from this, the Pova 8 Pro 5G could be powered by the Dimensity 7300 chipset. The listing also confirms 12 GB RAM and Android 16 out of the box, as indicated by its SDK version 36.
The display resolution has been listed as 1208 x 2644 pixels, which means it will be a 1.5K unit. Meanwhile, the pixel density is listed to be 520 DPI. This could mean the upcoming Tecno phone could be an upper-mid-range offering. That said, the design from the front suggests slim bezels, a centred punch-hole with the volume and power key on the right.
Previous regulatory findings have suggested that the phone could arrive with a 6,500mAh battery with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC support. While the listing doesn't reveal more key specifications, it suggests that the phone is closer to launching than it has ever been before.
For those unaware, the Tecno Pova 8 launched in India last week with the Dimensity 7100 processor, an 8,000mAh battery and a Nothing-like Dot Matrix display at the back, which Tecno's calling "Alive Matrix dot display". The Pro sibling is expected to retain the same and more information should be revealed very soon, so stay tuned.
