Tecno is doubling down on the budget 5G smartphone segment in India with the Spark 50 5G. The Tecno Spark 50 5G is meant for users who want a massive battery, a high refresh rate display and a capable MediaTek chipset, all for under Rs 20,000.
Tecno Spark 50 5G Specifications and Features
The Tecno Spark 50 5G sports a large 6.78-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, the panel offers up to 560 nits of brightness to make it reasonably usable outdoors.
As for the design, it's evident that Tecno took some design cues from the iPhone Air, which explains the similar edge-to-edge camera module at the back. It also looks quite similar to the upcoming Realme 16 5G. It's not all about the looks, as the brand has also made it durable with an IP64 rating.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also supports virtual RAM expansion, allowing users to extend memory up to 18 GB.
In the camera department, the Tecno Spark 50 5G features a 50 MP primary rear camera with an f/1.85 aperture, accompanied by an LED flash. For selfies and video calls, there's an 8 MP front-facing camera.
One of the biggest highlights of the Spark 50 5G is its 6,500mAh battery, which also supports 45W fast charging.
On the connectivity front, the phone supports multiple 5G bands, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and OTG. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
